The calendar for the upcoming F1 season is taking shape. With the announcement of Istanbul’s return, the last open slot is now filled to reach twenty-four Grands Prix. The Circus continues its search for new host countries – especially in Asia, where Thailand, China, South Korea, and India are eager, as well as in Africa.

This also brings the “rotation” system, which from 2027 will involve Spa-Francorchamps and Montmeló.

The Netherlands farewell and the return of Portugal and Turkey

The 2026 edition will be the last Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort. The Netherlands, after six seasons, is stepping away from the Circus to make room for another European round.

In 2027 and 2028, Portugal returns with Portimão back on the calendar for two years. The rotation between Belgium and Barcelona – both holding contracts until 2032 – makes way for Turkey, which has signed an agreement to stay until 2031.

Several circuits face their contract deadlines soon. On paper, 2027 risks being the last year for Las Vegas, though an extension could be confirmed soon. Contracts for Singapore and Mexico expire in 2028, alongside the Portuguese event mentioned earlier. The Japan contract will come up for renewal in 2029.

When does Monza’s F1 contract expire?

The year 2030 is significant, with contracts ending for five circuits: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Brazil, China, and Azerbaijan. The Italian Grand Prix must renew its F1 agreement by 2031, the year Monza’s contract expires.

More secure are Hungary and Qatar, whose presence in the Circus is assured until 2032, alongside Austin and Silverstone, whose contracts last until 2034.

Madrid, Canada, and Monaco have contracts until 2035; Bahrain until 2036; and Australia until 2037. Notably, Miami and Austria are set for extended stays beyond a decade, with agreements lasting until 2041.
