Vasseur responds to Hamilton following his recent warning towards Ferrari’s top management<\/h2>\n

It is not an easy time for Ferrari and Vasseur. However, on Thursday in Sepang, both Hamilton and Leclerc reiterated their confidence in the project. After Baku, and especially following five races without a podium, the situation inside the Scuderia seems on the verge of boiling over. This comes also in light of recent statements by Horner offering himself to Ferrari.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Sebastian<\/p>\n

This situation is not new at Ferrari and echoes past dynamics: whenever something goes wrong, conversations about replacements and starting over arise. This is something the team wants to avoid at all costs, even if the relationship between Hamilton and Vasseur is not ideal, and despite leaving Sepang without a podium. The French Team Principal commented on the events, paying particular attention to the seven-time world champion\u2019s statements.<\/p>\n

Vasseur disagrees with Hamilton\u2019s comments<\/h3>\n

Speaking at the usual Friday Team Principals\u2019 press conference, attended by F1inGenerale<\/em><\/strong>, Vasseur answered questions relating to the team structure, which is currently under scrutiny. “Firstly, it means we have to improve. I believe it\u2019s part of our DNA not to see success as the end point but to strive for improvement in both good and bad times. Honestly, we have recruited many new people, like other teams, and we are trying to push everything to the limit.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Vasseur then addressed Hamilton\u2019s words<\/a>, in which he suggested that issues extend to the team\u2019s upper management. “Regarding Lewis\u2019s comment, I think it would be a mistake to point fingers at someone or something<\/strong> – <\/em>the French TP declared – In good times we win as a team. In tough moments we suffer as a team, and I don\u2019t want to single out any individual or other. Honestly, I think it would be a huge mistake to start being divided<\/strong>. We had a good start to the season. Clearly, it\u2019s not enough. We want to achieve more, to win more, to win the championship. But in the end, we had a positive start. We are struggling the last two races, but we hope to return soon with developments and regain our pace.”<\/em><\/p>\n
